Double Sided PE Foam Tape

Double-Sided PE Foam Tape is a versatile, closed-cell polyethylene foam tape coated with high-performance pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive.

Product Description

PE Foam Tape is an exceptionally versatile solution, constructed from high-quality, closed-cell polyethylene foam. Coated on both sides with a specially formulated, high-tack pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive, it offers excellent initial adhesion that strengthens over time. Its soft, flexible, and conformable nature allows it to adapt well to a variety of surfaces, including textured ones. As a direct manufacturer, can also produce custom thicknesses, densities, widths, and adhesive formulations to meet your specific project requirements.

FEATURES OF THE TAPE

  • Excellent sealing against water, dust, and light.
  • Resistant to weather, temperature variations, UV, and oxidation.
  • Flexible and soft, conforms easily to irregular or textured surfaces.
  • Good initial tack, with acrylic adhesive strength increasing over time.
  • Variety of easy-release liner options (film or paper) for efficient application.
  • Provides excellent cushioning, shock absorption, and vibration dampening.
  • Highly customizable: thickness, width, density, adhesive type, and liner can be tailored.
  • Good thermal and sound insulation properties.

FAQ

Popular Question

PE Foam Tape offers good general adhesion to a variety of clean, dry surfaces, including metals (like aluminum, steel), glass, many plastics (such as PVC, ABS, acrylic), wood, and properly prepared painted or coated surfaces. For low surface energy plastics (e.g., PP, PE), surface treatment or the use of a specialized primer may be necessary for optimal adhesion. We always recommend testing for compatibility before large-scale application.

Please store the tape in a cool, dry, and dark environment, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and solvents. The recommended storage temperature is between 15°C to 25°C (59°F to 77°F) with a relative humidity of 40%-60%. Under these conditions, the shelf life is typically 12 months from the date of manufacture.

For best bonding results, we recommend applying the tape within a temperature range of -20°C to 120°C. At lower temperatures, the initial tack of the adhesive may be reduced.

The weight-bearing capacity is influenced by several factors, including the tape's thickness and width, the weight and surface area of the object being bonded, and the application method. It is generally suitable for bonding light to medium-weight objects. For critical applications with specific load-bearing requirements, we strongly advise consulting our technical team or conducting practical application tests.

Many of our PE foam tapes featuring acrylic adhesives exhibit good weather resistance, UV resistance, and temperature tolerance, making them suitable for outdoor applications. However, the specific suitability depends on the precise outdoor environmental conditions and application demands. Please inform us about your specific application scenario, and our technical team can recommend the most appropriate product.

You can request samples through the "Need Samples or a Quote?" form on our website or by contacting our sales team directly. Please provide details about the tape specifications you wish to test and your application, so we can provide the most relevant samples.
