Our VHB tapes can be used to bond a variety of substrates, including metals (such as aluminum, stainless steel), glass, various plastics (such as acrylic, polycarbonate, ABS), and coated surfaces. For low surface energy plastics (such as PP, PE), a primer may be required.
For best bonding results, the surface should be clean, dry, free of oil and dust. A mixture of isopropyl alcohol (IPA) and water (50/50) is recommended for cleaning.
VHB tape develops initial tack immediately after pressure is applied. It typically reaches approximately 50% of final strength after 20 minutes, approximately 90% after 24 hours, and 100% final bond strength after 72 hours (specific times may vary depending on temperature and substrate).

Under recommended storage conditions (typically room temperature 20-25°C / 68-77°F, and 40-60% relative humidity), G MARK VHB tape generally has a shelf life of 18 to 24 months from the date of manufacture. Please store the tape in its original packaging, away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and high humidity to ensure optimal performance. Refer to the product's technical data sheet for specific shelf life information.
